Discover Camiguin - White Island

White Island, Camiguin, Philippines, white sandbar, view at volcano Hibok-Hibok, vacation in the Philippines, resort in Camguin, Italian resort and restaurant

We decided to write short articles in our blog, to describe and introduce you to the wonders of Camiguin.

Just think that with only 64 kilometers in circumference and a population of about 100,000, you can visit so many natural attractions that no other island in the Philippines can offer and Camiguin is famous for.

Certainly! Many other islands have waterfalls, cold water springs, white beaches, dives spots to explore, etc... but only Camiguin has all in a small area and within a short distance. We would like to mention the seven volcanoes that distinguish it.

So are you ready to go on this adventure?

Yes?

Then fasten your seatbelts we'll start!

You can reach a white sandbar surrounded by crystal clear sea and with a spectacular view of the Hibok-Hibok volcano with only five minutes by scooter and another five by local boat (banka boat) from Camiguin Nypa Style Resort.

There are no palms or trees on the island where you can find protection from the scorching southern Philippine sun but you can rent an umbrella.

We recommend you to have with you at all times: sunscreen (minimum SPF 30 protection), hat or bandana, sunglasses, beach towel or sarong (we provide the latter to our clients for outdoor activities) and the ever-present camera to capture the beauty that surrounds you.

Bring the snorkeling equipment with you to see the marine life in the sea around White Island, but the best activity to discover its seabed is scuba diving (we can recommend the best centers in Camiguin).

What is the best time to go there? We suggest you visit White Island in the early morning by taking the first boat (5:00/5:30 a.m.) to arrive earlier than everyone else and enjoy the sunrise show or go around 2:30/3:00 pm to avoid the hottest hours and possible sunburn from the sun's rays.

We would like to remind you that you can stay on the island for 3 hours (extendable with an extra charge) and that the boats leave the island around 5:00/5:30 p.m.

Wear your sunglasses and enjoy the SHOW!
